Terms of Service

These Terms are an agreement between you and PLNS. By creating an account or using the PLNS app or website, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use PLNS.
The short version. Be 13 or older. Be yourself. Do not post abusive, harassing, or illegal content — we have zero tolerance for it and will remove content and accounts that do. You own what you post. You can leave any time.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use PLNS. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use PLNS only with the involvement of a parent or guardian. You must not use PLNS if you have previously been removed for violating these Terms.
2. Your account
- Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for activity that happens under your account — keep your password private.
- One account per person. Do not impersonate anyone else.
- Tell us at support@plns.app if you think someone has accessed your account.
3. Your content
You keep ownership of everything you post — your plans, photos, videos, comments, and messages. By posting, you grant PLNS a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, and display that content solely to operate and improve the service and to show it to the audience you selected. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies already shared with other people and copies retained in routine backups.
You are responsible for what you post. Only post content you have the right to share.
4. Rules of the road
There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour on PLNS. You must not:
- Harass, bully, threaten, stalk, or intimidate anyone.
- Post hate speech, or content that attacks people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, or age.
- Post sexually explicit content, graphic violence, or content that sexualises minors in any way.
- Post content that promotes self-harm, illegal drugs, or illegal activity.
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone.
- Post spam, run scams, or use PLNS for unsolicited commercial promotion.
- Share anyone else's private information — including their location, address, or contact details — without their consent.
- Scrape, reverse engineer, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to PLNS, its servers, or other people's accounts.
- Use PLNS to organise or facilitate anything illegal.
5. Reporting, blocking, and enforcement
Every post and profile in PLNS has a Report action, and you can block any account from their profile. Blocking hides that person's content from you and yours from them, and ends the friendship between your accounts.
We review reports of objectionable content and act on them, typically within 24 hours. Depending on severity we may remove content, warn an account, restrict it, or remove it permanently. Reports about immediate danger should also go to your local emergency services.

6. Meeting people in person
PLNS helps people coordinate plans in the real world. PLNS does not verify the identity of its users, does not conduct background checks, and is not a party to any plan you make. You are responsible for your own safety when meeting anyone. Use your judgement, meet in public where appropriate, and tell someone where you are going.
7. Location
Location sharing is optional and off unless you turn it on. When it is on, other users who are also sharing may see your approximate distance from them, and any check-in you post will show the place you attached to it. Our servers also compare your most recently shared location against those of your friends on a schedule, and may notify you both when you are near each other — see the Privacy Policy for the details. You control all of this at any time in the app's settings.
8. Our content and trademarks
The PLNS app, website, name, and logo are ours. These Terms do not grant you any right to use them beyond using the service as intended.
9. Service availability
We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of PLNS at any time. We will try to give notice of significant changes where we reasonably can.
10. Ending your use
You may delete your account at any time from Profile → Settings → Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate your account if you break these Terms, if required by law, or to protect other users.
11. Disclaimers
PLNS is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that content posted by other users is accurate or lawful.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PLNS and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service or from any interaction with another user. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 100.
Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, in which case they apply to you only to the extent permitted.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PLNS and its operator from any claim or demand — including reasonable legal fees — arising out of your content, your use of the service, or your violation of these Terms or of anyone else's rights.
14. Apple
These Terms are between you and PLNS, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content and has no obligation to provide support for it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
15. Changes to these Terms
If we make a material change we will update the date at the top of this page and give notice in the app. Continuing to use PLNS after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Nothing here removes any consumer protection right you have under the mandatory law of the country you live in.
